We always use AZO-free dyes in our products to achieve our uniquely Pehr colors & shades. We love natural dyes for their soft, time-worn appearance which comes from the Garment Dye process.
What does Garment Dye mean?
When a product is garment dyed, you are flipping the process by sewing the garment first and washing it in color afterwards. Since the finished piece of clothing is dyed all at once, you'll see some natural variation where the color collects differently in different areas.
These naturally occurring ‘highs & lows’ of color help to give the appearance of a soft, time-worn and well-loved garment. As a result of this process, no two pieces will be the same and any variations in color should not be seen as a flaw. Rather, it is a natural characteristic of this process, and for us, is part of the beauty of why we love these Garment Dye collections!
